NFIB is a not for profit membership association that represents small and independent businesses across the country through lobbying and advocacy activities. We have been in business for almost 60 years.

We lobby on the state and federal level on issues that affect the bottom line of small business owners such as health care reform, tax reform and OSHA regulations. Our most recent victory was the repeal of the death tax, which we have been fighting for 10 years.

Nationwide, we have over 600,000 members.

Due to the size of our membership and the number of people we represent, NFIB was ranked the most influential business organization, in "Washington's Power 25" survey conducted by Fortune magazine. We were ranked third overall, behind only the NRA and the AARP.

In order to keep our influence in Washington and in every state capital, it is important that we maintain and grow our membership. That's why we need strong sales representatives across the country.
